Magnum Series Blast Cabinets

The Magnum series blast cabinets are constructed from heavy gauge metal, which is continuously welded. Magnum Series are offered in 2 sizes 4436 and 5542 Suction or Pressure Blast Cabinets. The Magnum series utilizes the same blast guns, nozzles media valves ,recliamers and dust collector systems as the Industrial Series Blast Cabinets. The Magnum series are also equipped with the door safety shut off system. The main difference is in the simplicity of design of the lower cabinet , welded legs. The Magnum blast cabinets sizes are optimized for maximum efficiency in material and the manufacturing process to create a greater value for these full featured industrial quality blast cabinet. 400 CFM – 700 CFM Reclaimer Systems. Both Suction and Pressure cabinets are available. Dust Collector are available in sock or cartridge style. Reverse pulse air shake out or cartridge with automatic dust monitoring and shake out. Door safety lock out system is also included shuts down the system if doors are opened. All components are the same as the Industrial series with a simpler base construction. Magnum series is a great value in blast cabinets.

Suction Abrasive Blast Cabinets: Use the Venturi principle to draw abrasive from a non-pressurized hopper to the blast gun where it is combined with the compressed air stream and propelled against the work surface. Suction blast machines are most easily distinguished by having two hoses (one for air and one for abrasive) running to the blast gun.

Advantages

  • Lower capital equipment cost. Suction abrasive blast cabinets are lower cost than the same sized pressure blast cabinet.
  • Easier maintenance. There are far fewer moving parts and valves in a suction abrasive blast machine than a pressure abrasive blast unit. This translates into much easier maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Less air and abrasive demand. A suction abrasive blast gun has its air demand governed by the abrasive air jet, which is typically half the size of the blast nozzle diameter. This means that for a given nozzle size, a suction abrasive blast machine uses a fraction of the amount of air volume (CFM) than is required for a pressure abrasive blast machine, when both units are blasting at the same pressure (PSI).
  • Continuous blasting. Because there is no pressure blast pot in a suction abrasive blast system, there is no reason to stop, depressurize the vessel and allow abrasive to refill the pot (there is no pressure vessel, remember?). In a pressure blast system, the length of continuous blasting time is dictated by the amount of abrasive media the pot will hold at one time.

Because pressure cabinets deliver blast media at higher velocities than suction systems, the pressure cabinet is ideal for turning out work fast. In many applications, these pressure cabinets will perform jobs four-times faster than suction systems. In addition, they use compressed air more efficiently and provide more precise blasting control at high and low operating pressures. For really demanding tasks, like removing tight mill scale or finishing hard-to-reach surfaces, a pressure system is normally the only practical choice

Pressure Blast Cabinets are capable of blasting with Wide Ranges of Media & Pressure Levels .Direct Pressure Cabinets feature large dust collectors, heavy-duty blast hoses, tungsten carbide nozzles and heavy-duty mixing valves. Designed for speed, pressure cabinets produce high media velocities and volumes. You get 2-4 times the production speed with a pressure system as with a conventional suction system. The use of a pressure pot forces media through the blast hose rather than siphoning it, resulting in more efficient use of air and greater control of media flow.Pressure Blast Cabinets can be used with a wide selection of media and pressure. Pressure Blast cabinets utilize pressures low enough to blast delicate parts and high enough to handle the most demanding cleaning and finishing operations. With pressure blasting, you get top performance at both ends of the pressure scale!In pressure blasting, a controlled quantity of media is pressurized by drawing through a special ASME pressure tank. It is joined by compressed air entering the system from your air compressor. The air and media mixture are then propelled together through a single hose to the nozzle at an extremely high speed. The media is recovered and reclaimed for reuse. Broken down media and debris are removed and trapped in the dust collector.
